I have a quick question about the upcoming release of Mir. I know that when Ubuntu 13.10 is released, Mir will ship as the default display server, unless the user uses a proprietary driver, in which case it will fall back to X. But what happens when that fallback is removed in 14.04 LTS if AMD / Nvidia have not released proprietary drivers? Will we still be able to use the drivers they supply now? I don't think it would be possible, but am I wrong? I'm a gamer, so proprietary drivers are essential, unless the open-source drivers have an extreme overhaul.
