Yes, you've hit the nail on the head right there. I was so caught up
trying to improve the maintainability of the original hack that I
failed to notice that my replacement is just as dirty of a hack ;-)
Still, until ideal solutions can be found, I do maintain that my hack
is better than the original hack, and I'll convert projects to my
method as I find them.
