Hello!

I tried shutting down and logging out from variety of situations. There
used to be a (fairly short) flash of console output before the ubuntu
splash on shutdown. This update definitely made the shutdown look nicer.
The screen shows some shades of black in between things at times, but
there is on console output visible at any time.

Also, hello community! I've been using ubuntu for quite a long time
never been involved in the community. Hopefully I'll stick around and
make some small contributions.

Jarmo
