yes maybe it's a bit too much to want a generic api for all filemanagers with all backupsoftware.
It looks just like I have to develop a new api for KDE, and it was probably be a smart thing to do something generic, but yes see above.
Thanks for your hint about the nautilus extension. I hope I can use something there for Dolphin.
