Thank you for taking my patch to pppd. Unfortunately, it does introduce ABI changes for any other dependent project that builds a plugin that is loadable by pppd. From the top of my head, the following projects _does_ require a rebuild (or you end up with an unloadable .so file).
* network-manager-fortisslvpn
* network-manager-l2tp
* network-manager-pptp
* rp-pppoe
The following dependent projects probably _should_ require a rebuild as well (I don't know if they directly depends on a .so to be in /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.9/...
* network-manager
* connman
* pptpd
I know poptop pptpd does launch pppd, not sure if it require any particular plugin though.
