At this point I assume the same.
Please note that "main" in Ubuntu is not the same as "main" in Debian.
"main" + "universe" makes (approximately) up Debian's "main".
So unless you have a reason to ask that Canonical takes responsibility
for the maintenance, "universe" is probably right for whatever package
you are talking about. It's probably there already, isn't it?
