I have also attached a patch for it as you can see in the bug report page. However, it looks like Othman package has no maintainers (or so I think?), so I wasn't lucky enough to get any reply about it.

Is there anyone here with the privileges to merge the patch I provided, so that the program can be fixed again in Ubuntu?

The bug does affect Debian too. I'll work on fixing it in Debian and

Ubuntu 23.04 first and then we can fix it in the stable Ubuntu

release.
