With my Lubuntu Developer hat on, I think moving discussions like the
ones you mention to the #devel room should be doable. We probably will
still discuss them in the flavors room since they *do* affect flavors
directly and need flavor developer attention, but we can also
cross-post to #devel (without using @room pings).

With my Matrix Operator hat on, you don't have to leave the flavors
room to silence the unnecessary pings. If you're using Element, hover
over the room's "button" in the left sidebar, click the bell icon[1],
and then click "Mute room". That way you can still pop your head in if
you're interested, and if someone shares a link to a discussion in the
flavors room, you'll be able to view it. You just won't get pinged and
won't see unread message indicators.
