Hello everyone, it is a pleasure to let you know that the Ubuntu developer population keeps growing. The DMB has recently held two "mega days" combining multiple applications to avoid the applicant from having to wait for too long. Utkarsh already announced the two new core-developers of the session two weeks ago [1][2] John Chittum and Alessandro Astone. Yesterday we processed another 5 applications in an exhausting but successful 5 hour meeting block. Please welcome and congratulate - Mateus Morais for establishing the dotnet-toolchain packagset and being the first of its members [3] - Hector Cao to be approved for the Server packageset [4] - Guilherme Puida to also be approved for the Server packageset [5] - Talha Can Havadar for PPU on several llama related packages [6] - Charles Turner for PPU on several gstreamer related packages [7] For those considering to apply, you canfind the greetings, the discussions and all the grilling in the meeting logs [8] to prepare yourself. We have a phase of mid-year PTOs ahead, which means we will skip a few DMB meetings that can't reach qorum - once back we might revisit pulling applicants together for another mega day. Not only do we have four more applicants already queued, but we also had a few visitors to the public meeting who want to prepare to apply themselves. I also want to thank all the Mentors out there! Community teaching each other in reviews (rigor) and mentoring relationships (focus) is likely even more important than our continuous stream of documentation improvement (scale) to explain the recently increased amount of applicants and their improved success rate.
